Leah Eichler

Leah Eichler launched her writing career in the Middle East, working for the Jerusalem Report. She later joined Reuters, becoming their award-winning editor-in-charge of their global online newsroom, covering all digital content for Canada, the U.S. and the UK. While at Reuters, she taught a course on multimedia storytelling at Toronto’s Metropolitan University.  She then began a long relationship with the Globe and Mail as a columnist, where she currently writes about the intersection of language and culture. Leah’s been invited to many prestigious conferences and workshops for her fiction and nonfiction, including The Iowa Writer’s Workshop, where she worked with a Pulitzer Prize jury member and the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, where she gave a public reading from her memoir-in-progress, The Synagogue at the End of the World. Leah is represented by the Transatlantic Agency in Toronto.
